What was the highlight of Hotel Rosso Karuizawa
A fantastic experience !
We had a wonderful stay! The location was incredibly convenient—just a short walk from the station and right near 2 convenience stores, which made everything so accessible. The room was big and spacious, providing a comfortable space to relax after a long day. Breakfast, though simple, was surprisingly delicious and offered a nice variety each morning. A special highlight was the day soba was served—it was such a treat! One feature we really appreciated was the ability to rent bicycles directly from the hotel. It gave us the freedom to explore during the day and conveniently return the bikes at night. The staff provided impeccable service. Despite language barriers, they made a great effort to understand our needs and always responded with warmth and attentiveness. Overall, a fantastic experience—we’d definitely stay here again!

Our stay in May 2025
For a 3 star hotel, room is of a good size, with sufficient space for luggage and to move around. Toilets are big. It has a good location, within a short walking distance of Karuizawa Station and also the Prince shopping outlets. Hotel reception staff were friendly and readily recommended local yakiniku restaurants to us.
We appreciate the free breakfast. Perhaps, there can be a little more variety and some day to day variations for those who stay more than 1 night.

What was the highlight of Hotel Rosso Karuizawa
Exceptional
Beds were extremely comfortable. Room was fantastic in size. There were drinks for most of the day to help yourself to. There were games in the evening for anyone to play. Chess, reversi, Go, etc. Washing machine and dryer was a plus and breakfast had a reasonable spread. Staff were extremely attentive and friendly. Location is walking distance to the train station and walking distance to the outlet mall. Also possible to walk to the old town. Parking was easy. There was a Lawson right next door and a huge Family Mart 3 mins away. 100% recommend.
